Philanthropy Workshop

On Thursday, November 2, 2017, beginning at 7:00 p.m., Shamrock alumni, Nathan Karges ’96 and Joe Dierks ’96 along with their colleague Rob Randels, (CFP, MBA, RICP, ChFC, CLTC, CAP) will provide an estate planning workshop at Scotus in the school’s media center. The event is open to the public and is especially beneficial for individuals in or close to the 35-50+ age range. Mr. Karges and Mr. Dierks wanted to give back to Scotus, and they decided to offer their expertise and advice to fellow graduates, parents of students and members of the Columbus Catholic parishes. The goal of the event is to educate and engage and not to sell any specific product or service or to promote any particular company. The event will provide information on different resources available that maximize opportunities to give back to Scotus or to other organizations while also providing potential benefits to you. Topics will include: Direct Bequests, Appreciated Stock, Donor Advised Funds, Tax Advantages and Strategies, Life Insurance, Employer Matching, Beneficiary Arrangements, and Grats / Gruts (Shifting assets within the family.) The information presented will be totally different than any planning program you may have attended before. Contact John Schueth in the Scotus development office to register to attend: 402 564 7165 x 109 or
