Scotus will welcome five new teachers in 2020-2021 school year and more moves

We are excited to announce five new teachers at Scotus for the 2020-2021 school year! Please help us give a warm welcome Ms. Brichacek, Ms. Meyer, Mrs. Sokol, Mr. Rose and Mr. Duhey. We are excited to have them join the Shamrock family! #TheScotusWay #GoRocks

Also, current science teacher Bridget McPhillips will be switching into a new role as our new Career Education Counselor. Bridget just completed her Master’s in Counseling from Chadron State College.

She will manage student internships, bring career education into the curriculum and will be teaching a STEAM career class with Betsy Rall.

Congratulations Bridget, we know you will do great in your new position!

With new faces coming to Scotus next fall, we say goodbye to a few familiar faces.

Mrs. Bomar, Mrs. Blaser and Mrs. Weir are retiring. They have combined for over 60 years of experience at Scotus Central Catholic.

Mrs. Bomar brought stability to our Spanish program and has been such a positive light on our school and students. We are very lucky to call her a Shamrock, even if she graduated from Aquinas. 😉

Mrs. Blaser came to Scotus straight out of college. She brought out the best in the classroom and on the volleyball court. She set high expectations in everything she did and that attitude has been instilled in our entire staff.

Mrs. Weir has put in a lot of work in the guidance office. Since 1999, her friendly smile and willingness to work with students and to get them on the right path made her so valuable. With helping build schedules to assisting students in college planning, she has done it all.

Please give your wishes to these three as they enter retirement! Share some of your favorite memories if you would like as well. Scotus is so lucky to have had all three of these fine educators walk our halls. #TheScotusWay #GoRocks
