ACT News: Class of 2019 scores a 24.0 on class composite

The 2019 score of 24.0 ranks in the top 10 all time for class composites. Our highest average composite was 24.9 in Math. All of the top ten all time composites have come between the years 2007-2019. We had 11 students of the 51 who took the test get a 28 or above.

Scotus Central Catholic President Jeff Ohnoutka says the results validate the outstanding curriculum offered at Scotus Central Catholic and the valuable instruction students receive from our faculty.

“There is no doubt that as a school we continue to deliver on our promise of a first class Catholic education,” said Ohnoutka, “Congratulations to the class of 2019 for attaining a top ten composite average on the ACT.”

Thank you class of 2019 for being such great students and leaders in the classroom for future generations of Shamrocks.

Support Our Troops!

Scotus FBLA is once again collecting items for care packages that will go to our troops. The goal of the collection is to send out the care packages in time for the holidays. As this is a city-wide project, it is fun to watch our community come together to support those who serve our country. Each year, hundreds of boxes are packaged and mailed to our service men and women.
This year we are focusing our collection time during the month of September. Click here for a list of suggested items for the care packages. Donations may be dropped off at Scotus to be added to the collection boxes located in Mrs. Salyard’s and Mrs. Moody’s classrooms.
Additionally, if you know anyone who is serving (home or abroad) please get their address to either Mrs. Salyard or Mrs. Moody and we will make sure Pinnacle Bank gets the address. We would love to have them get care packages from Columbus!
