For students pursuing a career in technical careers, ACT 18+, transcript, resume, personal statement, three letters of reference, with completed packet received by April 1st to: BD Human Resources, Scholarships Program c/o Tami Freeland, 920 East 19th Street, Columbus, NE 68601. The awardee will have a 2 year commitment to BD upon completion of his/her degree. The scholarship money will be taxable upon graduation.
DAVIS CHAMBERS COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

Graduating seniors planning to attend a Nebraska Community College. Knowledge or experience living or working in a diverse community or organization.
COLUMBUS VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS
Due: 04/01/2020- Amt: $100
Graduating senior that is a child or grand-child of an active Columbus Volunteer Firefighter or Auxiliary. Academics, extra-curricular involvement, character references, state of 75 words of less with future goals and plans.

Students employed or have a family member who is employed with a company that is a member of the Columbus Area Human Resource Association. Student must be majoring in Business or Human Resource program. UNK full-time enrollment, first generation (whose parents/guardians have not completed a bachelor degree), financial need, scholastic achievement, involvement, 250 word essay, explaining “why college is important for my future and how this scholarship will help.” Scholarship is awarded the beginning of the first semester.
McKENNA RAE OF HOPE MENTAL HEALTH

Students employed or have a family member who is employed with a company that is a member of the Columbus Area Human Resource Association. Student must be majoring in Business or Human Resource program. Graduating senior entering first year of college. Nebraska resident, US citizen, majoring in a mental health field, exemplifying what it is to be a Rae of Hope (Helping Other People Everyday), with essay. “Explain what type of mental health field you are going into and why you want to go into that field? Scholarship is awarded the first semester.

LINCOLN BUILDERS BUREAU

JOHNNY BAXTER CARRIAGE HOUSE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Seniors planning to attend a Nebraska Community College in the fall of 2020. Must plan to enroll in automotive related courses of study. Letter of Recommendation and cover letter needed.

Must attend a 2 or 4 year college or university with a minimum of 6 hours, having a major or minor in Music/Art. Completed application includes academics, honors, activities, future academic plan, letter of recommendation and School Counselor’s signature. PLATTE COUNTY FARM BUREAU

Resident of Platte County or a member of the Platte County Farm Bureau Family, completed application, extracurricular involvement, honors, program of study with preference for Ag. related, work experience and personal statement. Completed applications need to be turned into the school by 4/15 for applications to be completed and mailed to arrive prior to 4/20 date.

The Summer Scholarship is valued up to $250 and must be used in summer 2020 at any Central Community College location. Current juniors and graduating seniors attending a high school in the CCC 25 county service area are eligible to apply. In order to be considered for this award, students must complete the Summer Scholarship application in its entirety. Completed applications are received and reviewed in corresponding order. Preference will be given to completed applications on a first-come-first-serve basis. Must register for classes by May 18th.

JAMES M COX SCHOLARSHIP
Due: 06/01/2020 – Amt: (100) $1,000
Nebraska resident/with special consideration for students residing in the eastern third of the state, financial need, demonstrate likelihood of academic success, attend a Nebraska-based institution of higher learning, complete/sign application, transcript, two letters of recommendation, and essay. Other factors considered: obstacles, financial need, medical expenses, death of a parent, and/or disabilities.
